You’re Next is a 2011 slasher film released in the United States on August 23, 2013. It was directed by Adam Wingard.

Summary: When the Davison family comes under attack during their wedding anniversary getaway, the gang of mysterious killers soon learns that one of the victims harbors a secret talent for fighting back.

Notable Cast Members:
Sharni Vinson as Erin
Nicholas Tucci as Felix Davison
Wendy Glenn as Zee

Review: Sometimes movies will escape you and you don’t even know why. You heard people talk about it but never hit that play button. This is one for me.

The opening scene is great if you like horror movies. The movie is based on a family reunion that goes wrong. Let’s just say stuff happens. There is a great moment when the wife hears something upstairs. The husband acts all manly, grabs a weapon, and heads upstairs, but as he climbs the stairs, he slowly loses his bravery with every step.

This movie can be brutal at times but that is to be suspected by a movie like this. I also love the fact that the masks make them seem inhuman but you find out they are very human. The scares are expected at times, but at others, they can truly surprise you. If you like horror movies, do not let this one slip by like I did. It is really worth your time so go check it out.
