Jeff Pearlman is a prolific American sportswriter. He has written ten books and has made The New York Times bestseller list six times. His newest book is The Last Folk Hero: The Life and Myth of Bo Jackson, and it is available now. He joined Fares to discuss his writing career, his journey from his hometown of Mahopac, NY to being a writer at Sports Illustrated, and how reading and writing about sports has broadened his worldview. He also spoke about transitioning to writing books, the differences between writing about an individual as opposed to a team, his books becoming the HBO limited series Winning Time, his new book about Bo Jackson, and more.
