The trajectory of the Buffalo Bills will continue to go up as it has the 3 seasons in correlation with the progression of quarterback Josh Allen. They have made the playoffs three straight seasons including winning 10 or more games in the regular season. In terms of players, I think they have replaced the talent they have lost in the offseason through free agency and the Draft. The signing of Von Miller, a two-time Super Bowl Champ, brings a very big veteran presence and leadership to help them get over the hump. This feels like an all-in move to me which is why I believe they will win a lot of games this season. The most significant loss to the team was offensive coordinator Brian Daboll who left for the Giants but it will be up to Josh Allen and Ken Dorsey to keep progressing. But with additions such as OJ Howard and Jamison Crowder, it will help them big time especially going along with WR Stefon Diggs and TE Dawson Knox. Head Coach Sean McDermott has just one losing season in his 5 seasons with the Bills so I do not see them taking a step back this season which is why I really like the over on the win total and think they will dominate this division.

This team went heavy in free agency this offseason to give quarterback Tua Tagovailoa all the help he needs so they know if he is their guy at the most important position. With additions like Tyreek Hill, Chase Edmonds, Raheem Mostert, and Cedric Wilson, they have bolstered their weapons around Tua to go along with standouts WR Jaylen Waddle and TE Mike Gesicki. They were able to replace the loss of Devonte Parker but the major question is have they replaced a pretty good head coach in Brian Flores with Mike McDaniel. He does not have any experience as a head coach and not even as an offensive coordinator as he was only the OC in San Francisco for one year with Kyle Shanahan calling plays. If he can take that system and apply it to the weapons that they have now in Miami I think that is definitely a recipe for success. I am betting that all the newly acquired help will produce a good amount of wins this season which is why I do like the over in the win total but would not put money that they will win the division.

We all know how great of a coach Bill Belichick is, his accomplishments speak for themselves even seeing last year without Brady with a rookie quarterback in Mac Jones they were able to win 10 games and make it to the playoffs. But Belichick has not been so great at the personnel side in terms of the draft and bringing in talent. I think that is the going to be the Patriots biggest problem this year is a lack of talent as they saw a lot of their key pieces leave in the offseason. The most significant of those losses is CB JC Jackson who was one of the top corners in the league and was an interception machine. They did not do good job in replacing both their starting guards with having a strange draft at least according the experts. This is a major problem because Mac Jones is definitely a quarterback who needs time in the pocket to get it to his receivers especially when you do not have very talented receivers to begin with also the fact that he is not known to be a very mobile quarterback. I do think the New England Patriots take a step back this season and miss the playoffs as there are always teams who make the playoffs one season and don’t the next. It won’t be a huge step back because they still got Belichick, I got them right at the Under with 8 wins and give them very little chance to win the division.

It was a pretty rough rookie year for both head coach Robert Salah and quarterback Zach Wilson. They will definitely need to make a step forward in their progression this season if they want to justify the investment put in them by the New York Jets front office. With the weapons they acquired in the draft such as Garret Wilson and Breece Hall and the two tight ends they got in free agency should help in that progression of the young quarterback from BYU. The additions to the front seven should bolster this defense a little bit. I have hope in this team’s chances to hit the over in the win total because as we saw last year from Joe Burrow in his second year what he was able to do with a team that in the previous year was really bad. Now I am not betting the farm on a huge leap in Wilson’s second year like Burrow’s but I am willing to take a flyer on it because he does then this team can win the division just like the Bengals which is why a would put just a small amount just because the odds are so long for them to win the division.
