There is not much to say about this game because it wasn’t much of a game after Brock Purdy left the game with an elbow injury. Obviously when I picked the 49ers in this game, I assumed Purdy would be healthy the whole you can’t really predict an injury to the starting quarterback like that. Even though the game was still close in the first half Josh Johnson was not going to bring them back and after he was knocked out Purdy could only hand the ball off the rest of the game. Basically, the Eagles just had to control the game with their defense and their run game similar to the previous week against the Giants. The Eagles got two back-to-back blowout victories to make their way to the Super Bowl.
Cincinnati Bengals @ Kansas City Chiefs (-2.5)
FinalScore: Kansas City 23-20
With an injured right ankle, Patrick Mahomes was able to rely on his arm to throw 43 times, completing 29 for 326 yards and 2 touchdowns. He led the Chiefs on the final drive to get them in position to kick the game winning field goal with the help from a Bengals linebacker causing a late hit which gave them an easier field goal attempt. The Bengals did what they usually do and stopped the run but couldn’t stop Valdes-Scantling as he got 6 receptions for 116 yards and one touchdown. Joe Burrow had 2 bad costly interceptions, one in the first half and one in the 2nd half. They were not able to get a run game going nor were they able to protect Burrow as he got sacked 5 times. The Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl for the third time in 4 years.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Philadelphia Eagles
Final Score Prediction: Kansas City 27-23
I’m not letting my bias get in the way of making money. I have been back and forth on this pick as I feel this is a very close matchup as the point spread suggests, much closer than even the 3-point spread of last year which made it a little easier for me to pick. With that said I will be going with the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Super Bowl, they will cover the spread, and the game will go under 50.5 points. The Eagles have shown to get off to hot starts in most of their games which is why I like them to being leading in the first half, but I am predicting some Mahomes magic to take place in the second half which will get the Chiefs the win. I like the Chiefs because I think they have the momentum going into this game as they just stopped a 10-game win streak that the Bengals were on. On the other hand, the Eagles had a super easy regular season schedule as well as an easy playoff schedule. They had the first-round bye then they played the Giants with Daniel Jones and no good receivers. All they had to do was run the ball and stop the run. It was the exact same thing the next week after they injured Brock Purdy. The Eagles have not been tested and have not seen a quarterback like Patrick Mahomes nor an offense like the Chiefs. In those two playoff games, Hurts hasn’t really been asked to do much and hasn’t got a rhythm going. He was 15/25 for 121 yards against the 49ers and only threw for 148 yards against the Giants. He will need to step up to keep pace with Mahomes and I don’t think he will be up to the task. Kansas City has had a tougher road to the Super Bowl by beating Trevor Lawrence and Joe Burrow. They are the number one offense in the league, number one scoring, number one in passing yards, and number one in yards per play. I think they will be able to handle the Eagles run game because they are the number 9 rushing defense in the league. The Chiefs are 8-11 ATS and 8/11 O/U. The Eagles are 10-9 ATS and 10/9 O/U. The total has gone under in 4 out of the last 5 Chiefs games. The Eagles are 2-4 ATS the last 6 games. Kansas City is 7-0 SU the last 7 games and they are 6-0 ATS against NFC opponents. Last time these teams played in the 2021 season the Chiefs won 42-30 and the Chiefs covered the 7 point spread in that game. Eagles may have the better overall roster but I think Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes gives the Chiefs the edge which will give them their third Super Bowl.
