Match Report: Rushmore (1-0, 1KO, The Finstock Exchange) vs Lightning Time (1-0, The Usual Suspects)

Rushmore is made up of John “The Outlaw” Rocha and “Little Evil” JTE. They entered the match with a record of 1-0. They represented The Finstock Exchange.

Lightning Time is made up of “Lightning” Liz Shannon Miller and Ethan “Big Time” Erwin. They entered the match with a record of 1-0. They represented The Usual Suspects.

First Round

Rocha missed one question. JTE had a perfect round and hit the bonus question. Rushmore earned sixteen of a possible seventeen points.

Miller missed three questions. Erwin had a perfect round and hit the bonus question. Lightning Time earned fourteen of a possible seventeen points.

Second Round

Rushmore elected to spin first.  They spun 2000s and elected to keep it.  They went to multiple-choice once, answered six out of six questions correctly, and earned eleven out of a possible twelve points.

Lightning Time spun Opponent’s Choice and Rushmore gave them Classics.  They went to multiple-choice twice, answered four out of six questions correctly, and earned eight out of a possible twelve points.  

Rushmore stole both of Lightning Time’s misses for two points.

Third Round

Lightning Time went first.  Miller took the two-point question in the category of New Releases and she got it correct.

Erwin took Lightning Time’s three-point question in the category of Fantasy/Sci-Fi and he got it correct.

Lightning Time’s five-point question was in the category of Directors and they got it incorrect.

The final score was 29-27 to Rushmore via TKO.

Other Details

Lightning Time answered 20 of the 26 questions asked to them correctly for an accuracy of 76.92%.  Their record is now 1-1.  Due to the TKO, The Usual Suspects lost a point in the faction standings.

Including steal opportunities, Rushmore answered 24 of the 25 questions asked to them correctly for an accuracy of 96%.  Their record is now 2-0.  They advanced to the finals of the teams tournament.
